This blog is mostly about images. A photo captures a moment in time and lets us slow down long enough to see the rich texture of the life all around us. It's mostly for my own amusement, but if you stumbled here somehow, please enjoy.

Silent Rails

If I didn't like airplanes so much, my favorite subject would be trains.  There's something about the endless rails that carry my imagination off to a distant and unknown place. Hop aboard and dream a little today!

  1. I like this picture, though am having a hard time putting my thoughts into words. It seems as though there must be a life lesson in the fact that you can see much of the rail, yet just a small part of it is in clear focus.

  2. Interesting, Greg, I struggled with writing the post as well. There's something stirring about the image but it's hard to express.

  3. Great picture! The message I got from this picture is that God doesn't expect us to see clearly or understand perfectly the whole path in front of us, but rather wants us to just take the next small step of faith in front of us.

  4. 'Like this one a lot, Brad-- you know I am a big fan of shallow depth of field! Maybe one to frame?
