She's very interested in what he's interested in, don't you think? I pray this will continue for this dear couple and am reminded of how important it is to give attention to each other. Real attention. Listening with intent attention.
I'm not crazy about the fuzziness of this image; it was taken without flash in low light (so as not to distract my subjects!). But on further reflection, maybe it lends an effect that supports the thought. What do you think?

My first thought when I looked at this photo was "I wonder who he's texting? Or is he just playing
ReplyDeleteAngry Birds?". I love the evidence of flowers in the foreground! They add to the soft mood of the pic!
Neat picture. Thanks for posting. The soft focus is kind of neat, though you could have used the flash as I knew you were taking the picture!
ReplyDeleteJeff--First, if he were texting someone, it very likely would be the someone sitting right next to him! Second, I can't even get him to play Words with Friends with me; again, mostly because of the someone right next to him! :) (Both of which I'm very happy about, actually!) Re the flowers: can you guess which were for the bride-to-be and which for the mother-in-law-to-be? :)
ReplyDeleteGreg--as focused as you seem, you can't shake that trait we share of being hyper-aware of our surroundings. The bane of candid photography!
Thanks for posting! I like this picture and your thoughts on it. I think we were trying to reconcile our busy schedules for the next 4-5 months. He is pretty attentive unless he is trying to multitask!
ReplyDeleteP.S. The other day he was sitting next to me at Rachel's, playing none other than Words with Friends. Is that a sign that the newness has worn off?? =)
